Did you know that 1 in 4 people over the age of 65 years old will fall this year? Or that one fall doubles your chances of falling again? Injuries from falling result in millions of emergency department visits each year, and hundreds of thousands of hospitalizations. Many falls are preventable with balance assessments, exercises and safety tips that can be implemented in the home. Join us to learn about the components of balance and fall prevention and participate in some tests to assess your own balance.

The Friends of the Charlevoix Public Library, with the generous support of Lynne and Mason Rosenthal present: Fall 2023 Lifelong Learning Program. The Lifelong Learning Program was initiated in 2016 as a means of providing an opportunity to develop a greater understanding of topics and issues of broad interest that may impact us all.
