February: Groundhog Day

Join us every Thursday from 6:00-7:00 pm in the Armstrong Conference Room for an opportunity to speak French casually with other Francophiles!

Anyone interested in sewing and conversation, please join the newly formed Sewing Group. Open to the public as a drop in community sewing group. All are welcome! 

Brave the cold February winds and learn how to make playable, washable, fun needle-felted ball toys for your pets. 

Playgroup on a weekend? You bet! Stop by the Youth Activity Center between 2pm and 3:30pm for casual, free sensory play for kids ages birth to 6 years old.

Mac computer users who meet twice per month to discuss tips, problem-solving, and special topics: First and Third Mondays from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. in the Trustees Conference Room. Led by Wes Andersen. 

Mahjong is a tile-based game that's similar to poker and rummy, and involves matching tiles to form sets and pairs. To learn more or play the game, drop in to the Coeling Activity Room on Tuesdays or Thursdays from 1:00 - 4:00pm.

Relations with China remain tense, with tariffs, military modernization, and pressure on Taiwan. Does Trump have a coherent China policy, and will his tariffs on Rare Earth minerals be effective? What are America’s strategic options? 

Join us for Lego Adventures at the Library! Visit the Youth Activity Center between 3:30 and 5pm for unique Lego building challenges or stop by and build your very own creations.

Megan Mainland, American Heart Association’s Basic Life Support Instructor, teaches lifesaving skills of adult, child and infant CPR including AED use and relief of choking.

Anyone interested in knitting, crocheting or any other needlework, please feel free to join the Knitting Group which meets weekly: Wednesdays from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 pm in the Trustees Conference Room. All ideas and skill levels are welcome!

Sierra Bigham, a certified herbalist and founder of Bear Earth Herbals, a Michigan tea and salve company, will be at the library to share her wisdom about herbs and teach us about their uses for healing and medicine.
