Purpose of Meeting
The purpose of this meeting is to provide a live option viewing for online extension programming. MSU Extension helps people improve their lives by bringing the vast knowledge resources of MSU directly to individuals, communities, and businesses. On December 10, there is a webinar in the sustainability speaker series that explores developing community-focused sustainability initiatives. I am hoping to host the live event option at the Charlevoix library.
This concept of live option webinar viewing is relatively new for MSUE, but was initiated to increase extension program participation in all of District 14. I chose Charlevoix as the live option county for this particular event because my research indicated that many of the farms and agricultural businesses in the area prioritize sustainability in their operations. I am hoping that turn-out for this event will be good, but again this approach is pretty new.
