Event Details
Join LTC environmental education staff at the Charlevoix Public Library for an evening at the edge of one of the world's great forests. Northern Michigan sits at the southern boundary of the boreal zone, the vast belt of spruce, fir, tamarack, and bog that stretches across Canada and encircles the northern hemisphere. We'll explore what makes this forest so globally significant, which birds, plants, and insects tie our own landscape to the boreal, and why December is exactly the right moment to think about what lies just beyond the horizon.
