"Indian Horse" by Richard Wagamese.

This spare yet rich fictional work published in 2012 tells the story of Saul Indian Horse as he looks back on his life including his forced enrollment at a Native boarding school, his success on the hockey rink, and eventual alcoholism. Late author Wagamese was considered one of Canada’s foremost Native authors and storytellers.
